Mercy

The Covenant Church Mercy Ministry is established as a humble response to God’s mercy upon us. None of us deserves His saving grace yet He gives us His Son Jesus Christ, frees us from the bondage of sin, and grants us a new life to live according to the Holy Spirit. Although we continue to be weak and needy of His mercies, we pray for strength in The Lord Jesus Christ to stand and be bold to show forth His mercy to the needy world.

Our Goals:
1. To encourage every church member to participate in at least one Mercy Ministry activity per year
2. To promote a spirit of service and care within the church community
3. To develop inroads into the larger community

Our Main Responsibilities:
1. To care for the sick, the weak (elderly, widows and orphans) and the mourning in the community

2. To create mercy opportunities for all ages

• Bring our elderly on visitation with the elderly

• Encourage families with kids to visit nursing home and other visitations

3. Create opportunities to reach particular facets of the larger community

• New immigrants

• Children

4. Get families to look after one another by connecting needy families with care­giving families
