Nurture

In Ephesians 4:15, Paul exhorts us “to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ”.  It is the desire of Covenant Church to see every man, woman and child grow in godliness as we walk together in faith.  The more we reflect Christ in our thoughts, words, and actions, the more glory we bring to God – that is our ultimate goal.  Through our teaching, discipleship programs, and small groups, we look forward to the Holy Spirit working in us, helping us become more and more mature over time.

Small Groups

Small groups are a vital part of the life at Covenant Church.  These groups allow members and friends of the church to meet in smaller and more intimate settings, allowing us to develop deeper relationships with each other while living out our Christian beliefs and experiencing Christ together.

As part of a small group, we get to serve, praise, pray, and study God’s Word together.  We also find opportunities to eat, hang out and lend a hand to one another.  Ultimately, we seek to build up the body of Christ by building up each other.

Join a Cell Group as we meet together to help one another grow within the body of Christ. If you would like to join a cell group, please contact any of the Elders, or click here to send an email

Conferences

Our annual conferences are held at Harvey Cedar Bible Conference Center on Martin Luther King Jr weekend.  They are wonderful opportunities to nurture relationships, our relationship to God and to each other.  It is a great time of fellowship as it allows us to get away from our busy hectic lifestyle of living in NYC and to build deeper relationships to one another while also being nurtured in God’s Word through excellent speakers.

Discipleship

Are you a new Christian who wants to build a strong foundation in your faith?  Maybe you trusted Christ as your savior a while ago, but life has pulled you away and you need a boost.  Either way, some one-on-one spiritual mentoring with a mature Christian might be helpful.  Our discipleship program is designed to do just that for adult and teen believers.  In about 13 sessions —typically 3-6 months—an adult member of Covenant Church can lead you through these sessions. Meetings can be at your home, your mentor’s home, or church— whatever you mutually agree upon. Discipleship mentors are available in English or Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin).
